I have a 1999 C3500 4 door long bed Non Dually that im in the process of bagging, well collecting parts lol. It started out lifted and now i am back to stock wheels and a flip kit in the back. My goals for this truck is to put 20 inch rims and low pro tires and get it as low as possible but I do not want it to lay out all the way. I want to be super low all the way aired out but not scrape on a flat surface. So should i run stock spindles or 3" drop spindles up front? I'm Gonna run slam RE 7 up front, and gonna build a link for the back with Suicidedoors.com parts and RE 8s. With the flip kit on the back the axle hits the frame pretty easy, will a bolt on C notch have enough travel with the flip kit to not hit? or will I have to weld one in? I would really like to not cut my bed up, I use it all the time to put tools and other gear. But the pumkin looks too close, and i dont even have a notch yet.

Ive had an S10 in the past that laid frame and was all cut out and was really fun but always missed my lack of bed space. Parts i already have are Nitrogen bottle with Reg., and 4 SMC 1/2" valves. Im gonna do the front first and C notch, then rims and tires, Then rear link setup.

I would appreciate any recommendations any of you might have.

Thanks

If you want it as low as possible and also have it bagged the best option for you would be to buy a 5/7 lowering kit and then just install a simple air ride system. These kits come with the bolt on notches to keep your bed floor stock (pumpkin will be 1" from or even rub the bottom of the bed floor at times). Since you are not wanting to cut the bed floor it is really pointless to build a link system for the rear because you can achieve the same stance with your stock springs and a flip kit. Then you can just make a simple helper bag system for the rear of the truck.

My truck has the drop like lockone was talking about with a bolt in notch. I have helper bags in the rear also. Without air in the bags I bottom out in the notch. You are definately going to want to go lower. Go ahead and cut it and weld in a notch cover so you can still use your bed.
