Hi guys new to the truck/dually sene... duno where to start on this project.... might do what i did with my last one just collect laot of stuff anf put it together when i have a nice collection of parts?

About the truck:
1984
3+3
king cab
long box
dually.

with a 350 SBC and a 400 turbo trans rear gearing (unknown)

so far its got:
dual CB antenas on the mirrors
CB
cab visor
Edelbrock intake
edelbrock chrome air breather
captin chairs in the front

Needs:
Pass and driver floors done
box "ribs" done
A comlete rewire... stupid person must have fucked with the wireing... the washer motor has a double power going to it? WTF!
and the list goes on... but it's going to be a fun and interesting project.

mods/wants:
Drop kit slamed with out bags (bags dont last long in canada in the winters....)
re paint back to factory (hugger orange)
tint
91 burban front end
nice wheels
and black interior blue just don't cut it for me....

i'm sure i'm missing something but it's a start

Nice project. Re-Wiring these trucks is a breeze.

I hope so cuz none of my guages work and theres cut and hacked wires every where! :S

Easiest route is to get a Painless wiring kit for your truck. We just installed one about a month ago. It took about 2 hours for the complete install from taillights to headlights and everything in between.

i heard they are good but i also heard they are big$$$ i mean i don't mind wireing stuff. i just need some time and a diagram lol.. and some beer. but my first project is to get the bed 'ribs" fixed... there pretty bad. my bed floor has stress "rips" in it from the ribs being rotten out..

So as of tomoro i will have alot more parts to start posting about in my progress log. i found a guy parting out an old 79 tow trck and i purchased quite abit of stuff from him.

Old Tow truck roof light (has PA system in it will go nicly with my CB with PA out put)
new gas tank (mines fucked)
and what ever else i can get as part of the deal

So kit's in the mail... truck just got a new pinion seal,fluid change and universal.... next is cutting all the crap out of the back for the old Wheel lift.

Next weekend:
new gas tank
new bed floor!!! yay no more bed flopping aorund when i drive.
cut the old wheel lift out.
clean up rear section of frame and get ready for the drop..

after this it's new cab Floors.inner rockers,cab mounts etc.

My new hugger orange Southern rust and rot free cab from Mississippi. got it for $600 with the rear doors on it getting the cab mounts this week and swapping next weekend.

You should have seen the peoples faces when I drove my srw 3500 out on the beach at Sherkston!Looks like you have a nice project there. If you ever get down to Buffalo let me know.
