ok I see. I went out and bought me a c&c rearend to run 6 rig wheels but knowing the price of the flip kit I got a friend of mine to cut everything out of 1/4 steel and then I welded everything together. I proceeded to install it and everything looks great. My c&c rearend looks just like the stock one just a lot narrower and its a 14 bolt too. One thing I kinda dont like right now is that the gap between fenders and wheels is a bit too much but I think I have the solution for that. Nice looking truck by the way.

Have you actually bolted the wheels on? You said flip kit so I assume you are still running the factory leafs. I am forced to run 16's on the inside because the leaf springs are in the way of me running 4 semi's. I also think the rear is too narrow and I want to have some spacers made that are the thickness of a semi wheel to run in between the outers and the adapter to space out the wheels some.

Quick update:
I have had the truck back for a couple of weeks, and everything is running good. The truck is not what I would call fast, but it runs a lot better than before and it's a lot more fun to drive. It's especially nice to drive on the highway now with the overdrive. The cam was broken in with the stock valve springs and then the new Comp springs were installed. I had to upgrade to a Hughes 2,500rpm torque converter because the engine would not idle in gear. And I had to upgrade to a Holley 750HP because the engine would not stay turned on when idling especially with the a/c on and would also fall flat on it's face on the top end with the old carb and the new engine components. After all the bugs were worked out I had the front and rear tubs redone because I was not satisfied with the way they were before. I will be dropping the truck off at the body shop next Monday.

I had the front side markers shaved while the tubs were getting done and the fender lips were also cut and rolled for even more tire clearance.

Electric fuel pump with braided lines and smoothed fenders painted PPG Victory Red which will be the color of the truck.

I had to change my air filter setup due to the new intake/carb. I don't like the way paper air fliters look so I ordered a K&N today, it should be here tomorrow.

Thanks, and yes the overdrive makes a world of difference. I like accelerating on the highway, the truck downshifts to third and then goes back into OD. I actually think I get better mileage on the highway now, around town is a different story however....

I would have waited on posting the last updates if I had knowm that Alfredo at Dima Wheels was going to make my custom spacers so fast. I went down to Dima Wheels on Monday and asked him to make me some aluminum spacers that would take up the room that would be taken up if I was running semi wheels on the inside, in order to move my wheels out some. He called me wed. afternoon and said they were done. Alfredo makes adapters specifically for C&C rears which push the wheels out more but I would also have to run custom hub-centric rings to center the adapters on my rear since it's an older truck. I decided to just go with the spacers to keep things more simple even though he said he would have taken my adapters in on trade. I still have room to run the Dima C&C adapters later to push the wheels out another inch.

The spacers were $220. I'm not sure how much adapters are but here is the number- (832)228-6746.

Thanks man. I like your build a lot too, especially the lsx. It's never too late to take the bags off and roll a body dropped, static dropped truck. You would deffinately have a lot of suspension travel up front......

While the bed was off I took off the 1 1/4" drop blocks and added 2" DJM drop shackles. The truck should now sit level while tucking rim out back.
