So f'in gay...the problem switched browsers on me, like I said earlier. At first I couldn't logon with IE7. Switched to Chrome and could logon. Now IE7 lets me, but Chrome won't. Not going to keep using IE7 because it blows, and if I leave it open long enough it ties up my whole system with memory leaks.

Used the "delete board cookies" link and tried again, no difference. I can logon, but the moment the screen redirects, I'm no longer on...

Too much hassle anymore...lata guys

Richard

Would it be possible to do a net meeting with you so I can see what it's doing? I can't seem to duplicate the problem you are having. It should always let you login. I can fix it for you for good.

Not sure what that means but sure got some ominous overtones.

I lurk a little bit but just don't really post anymore, sucks to fire up IE because it memory leaks and crashes my PC. Still can't log on with Google Chrome no matter what I do. Which is weird, because a long time ago it was exactly the opposite. Couldn't get in with IE but Chrome worked.

Oh well.. logged on tonight to post some wiring info for a dude, now I'm out!

Glad you got it working, sounds like it maybe something with your computer if IE crashes your computer, have you checked for any viruses?

Don't think he really got it working, except for IE, which it should work on chrome as well. It has been working good for me on firefox but on my blackberry no go. I have to log in everytime, cleared cookies and cache no luck. One time the other day it would log me in, until I went to check my messages or post a reply then it asked to log in again, after numerous tries it finally worked. It really becomes a pain in the butt, when using my phone as it is slow enough to begin with, then having to keep logging in, takes forever, especially when I only have a moment or two to get on.

Is there a permanent fix or just a bandaid?

How do you clear your cache and cookies on your black berry? I need to do more testing with different phone browsers to narrow down the issue. I to have trouble sometimes logging in on my phone but my computer always works fine.

I go to my browser, left click, options, cache operations, then you can clear history, content cache, pushed content, and cookie cache.

Didn't get anything working. It's been working for the most part on IE for a long time, with only a few intermittent login problems from time to time. It still doesn't work with Chrome.

No viruses on the computer. IE7 is known for memory leak problems; if I leave it on long enough I can go to the task manager and see a crazy amount of memory being used and it keeps taking more by the second. After a little while of this it will hang the PC. A known problem with IE7 and I don't use IE anymore anyway - it sucks.

Please let me know your schedule, and I'll remote into your computer and fix it for you. It would be great info for me so I can help others if they ever have the same issue but I'm 99% sure it's cookie related.

Do you logon from other computers other than the one you talk about using IE, and Chrome on?

Mobile is still in beta but I'll look into this, I've noticed the same issue myself just haven't been able to narrow down the cause.

What is the address again for the mobile site?

Finally got in with Chrome again. I tried in the normal window, including after deleting cookies with the link on the DS page...didn't work. Said screwit and tried opening an Incognito window and was able to log in...the catch was, can't click the "automatically log me in" box or it fails again. It should fail anyway because Incognito mode won't let any cookies through.

So to sum up: Chrome Incognito window, do not check "automatically log me on" box, I can log in.
