and the new toy my 82 gmc 4 door in the process of baggin it right now

i have some questions about my dually ...i have seen pics and duallys around and none have the holes mine do for the camper that i guess it had and the shocks in the bed ...anyone have some info on this...i plan to chave the holes and not sure if i should remove the shocks or what

Both the holes and the shocks are factory installed items. They were part of a package called the "camper special" the holes had factory installed hooks so you could tie your camper down tight, the shocks in the bed that go from the bed to the back of the cab are also factory installed. They were intended to keep the bed with all of the extra weight of the camper inside from moving around and smashing into the cab. Pretty cool factory options but not very popular dont see many trucks with them.

I had them in my old bed...both the tiedown holes and the shocks.

it was on craigs list when it was stock and missin almost everything ...i started by droping it but it wasnt low anuff..so im gonna bag it then mae later stock floor it..have thought about going to the doors but still not sure how the bigbeast would look doord and havent seen any doored at all...yea thats what i thought that it was called a camper ...
