Hi. New guy out here in California, on the San Francisco peninsula. Just one week ago I bought a 2008 F350 regular cab dually with 2,245 miles. Pretty as can be, white. Now here goes my reaction after my first week driving. . . what is required to change flared bed to a regular width bed and rear end to a single rear wheel? Don't hate me. Is this ever done ? So you want to go from a one ton Dually to a standard one ton truck with a single wheel on each side?

i believe you are correct circuitguy. thats how im understanding it as well. well, coming to a dually site to ask how to make your truck NOT a dually is different lol. normally its guying turning theres into a dually.or already having one. im sure its been done. just convert it over. matter of fact, a guy on here named h20melon i believe sold his chevy some months ago. it was a dually and was converted to a single wheel.

I have done a little reading up on the idea of switching from a dually to single wheel...Lots going on, more than I ever figured on. I am going to back off of this brainstorm , not near a good enough mechanic to do this. Thanks for the input, I will learn to love my dually as it sits!
