Just wanted to say hi to all you guys. I've already gained lots of info from reading some of the posts on the site.

I am a new dually owner.... recently purchased a 89 Chevy G30 short bus and i am in the process of installing air suspension on it. It will lay body on the ground (with the passenger door being sectioned to match the rest of the body). It will have wrap-around bench seating with a large stereo under the seats. Here are a few pics of the progress so far.

I saw the Outlaw bus a few years ago... then this bus came into my work and i couldn't hold my self back, I had to buy it! The concept of the bus is similar the outlaw bus but i'm going a bit farther... sectioning the door to lay the body flat on the ground (not adding metal on the bottom to close the gap). It should be 7-8 inch lower that the Outlaw bus.

For the control arms we used 8" well casing

Welcome to the site indeed. I am flying out to Washington in the morning. I'll be staying in Lynnwood for now until I figure out where my "permanent" spot will be.

The burb leaves early next week. Once I establish where I'll stay I'll ship either the dually or my truck out.

Have fun and enjoy your project.

definitaly cool..

since you have those arms off, put new bushing in them, the ones pictured look like they need replacing..

also why bags over the axle? your going to get 7 inches of lift max, and thats a big rig to only get 7 inches of lift..

I cleaned up the control arms more since the pictures and the bushing looked good. These control arms are temporary until we build a set of tubular arms. As for the bags over the axle, I'm using SS-8 bags which get 10.3" of travel. I wanted something that was heavy duty, simple to access for maintenance or replacement, and I wanted the option to be able tow with it.
