looking sweet man !!!1 love a slammed square. i have to say the truck looks very familiar. like ive seen pics of it somewhere. and with all the work it has, its ringing a bell with me, just cant put my finger on it. hmmmm. either way, nice project. so do the rear wheels/ tire rub at all on inside of rear fender ? by the looks of it, were the inside wheel tubs altered or is it just an illusion ? as for the body drop....you would have to cut the floor out and start over. if you are going to keep her for a long time or forever ect..id say go for it man.

Good looking project. I was wondering the same things as big bear with the rear fenders. Are the pinch welds cut off too? Anyways it looks good.

Thanks for the feed back and commits. The truck was on craigslist awhile back and on YouTube. I pick it up here in MT with most of the work done(if you can believe that bag and BD truck was from MT I didn't). I have had no rubbing problems in rear, looks to me like it the tubs were stretched a bit and pinch weld is gone I thank, I will check tomorrow. I know I would have liked to do the work from the start. But the price was way to good to pass up.

i did that on my f150. it was originally traditional and i hated it. i wanted to stock floor it so i took it off the frame and cut all my plates as close as i could with the plasma. had it all cut out in about an hour. then jigged the floor in the stock place and began to weld it back up adding plates where needed. had to had to the rear cab wall so i just sheet metaled the whole rear wall. just make sure you weld the braces up under the floor. its not too bad. i think i had maybe a week in doin it at night once the cab was off and stripped.. good luck. it was def. worth the work. i would never traditional BD anything again..

Thanks for the info layinglugz. I can't wait to get started but space in the garage is at a premium and with winter coming I can't do it outside so it might be awhile before I get rolling on the BD but seem's like a good time to do some motor work and change out the trans. Thanking of doing a 4l80e or 700r4, what do you gays thank?

does your i button not work?

its spelled think. not thank.

ok, now that's out of the way, traditional body drops suck. plain and simple. losing head room in your cab is only cool if you're 17 years old.

id like to see more pis of your truck. looks like you barely tuck any wheel, i have no pinch welds, and tuck like half wheel on my 16's..

and in the rear my tires touch the top of the bed rails.
