Thanks. Well, I haven't started it yet, but it involves the rear of a 2003 Dodge dually bed, 24" 10 lug dually wheels, 12 valve Cummins diesel, and air bags, and only 5 wheels.

hmmm...must say ..very intresting man. as far as bagging the rear, it depends on what your wanting to do. but its pretty much straigt forward on most rearends. you can run a 2 link, 3 link , 4link.... bag over axle, bag behind axle, bag on bar ect... many options and combos.

Which one is the easiest to do that can handle lots of torque? And is there anywhere on here that has kind of a step by step on how to build it? I have built a rockcrawler before, so I do know how to fab most of my own stuff.

Cool, thanks. I'm building a Dodge Diesel Dually Trike, it will be super cool when it is done.

Sounds kinda like something the Blastolene Brothers would build, good luck, I have had my fair share of working on trikes, if the power to weight ratio is not right it will be suicide, VW trikes with too much power ie using a V8 or bigger are crazy nuts. Sounds interesting, sounds big, and definatley one off. Good luck

Thanks, I plan on putting the stock 12 valve Cummins in it while it is still stock, and add power as I drive/ride it to see how it will handle. It will have many test runs way before I even let somebody else ride on it. I have had this idea in my head over a year now. I do have the 2wd 94' Dodge Cummins donor truck, plus the 2003 dually bed already in my garage.

Man, I wish I coulda got a guess in, I was on the money! Can't wait to see it. For the rear I'd prolly go with a two link so the rear would work more like a swingarm and limit the side to side articulation. Could you imagine trying to take a turn or a curve with a rear that would lean from side to side? It'd flip faster than a gymnist. Good luck, Brad

Yep, you would of had it right. I was thinking of some way to still use the leaf springs with airbags, but I know I can't get it low enough. The trike never needs to get real high off the ground, just over speed bumps. Thats is what I was thinking, two fat thick bars from the frame to the axle like a swing arm, and then one big fat panhard bar. But I would like the trike to be raised about 12 inches from the ground if I want to. I was wondering if the panhard bar would cause the 2 link to bind with that much lift?

I was also wondering if a better way to go is to just order a complete rear suspension and bag kit from like, Airbagit.com?
