Helloooo!

I just found this website last night, and I HAD TO JOIN TODAY!! :D

I have 2000 dually (chevrolet) w a 5,7 drop!

I love my truck but, I have a 3 car wedge that I bought last year and started hauling my lowriders to some shows and found out my 454 doesn't like it too much :( :(

I've been reading all day on here and it sounds like a diesel conversion (which what I was considering) is gonna be a major undertaking....soooooo i guess my options are
(1)buy a tow pig (diesel) or..
(2) do some mods to my 454 (which is ALL stock)

Any ideas or suggestions would be great...THANX in advance...look forward to cruising through here and learning more

Here's a couple of pics

Looks just like mine did a few years ago, except I had kmc slams on it.

Looks good, yes the 454 is a dog, it needs a good exhaust, good flowing intake, and a computer reprogram. None of which I have. I have a kn on it on the stock tubing, but hurts more than it does good since it is sucking in hot air. Really need to build a box around it and draw outside air. Even with an airraid kit, I lost power and mileage. Then a supercharger and it would be good.

what up! straight truck.did u paint anytime soon? CLEAN--- i got a 91 square with fi 454,looking into remote turbos for it. works great on fresh stock motor. For towing they say cant be beat, plus they said it gains 8 more mpg.( draw back) you have convert to mas sensor.Im looking into this first,if not my guy has a totaled dodge with 12v-5speed ill scoop up. P.S. im a d.s. rookie also, welcome

Is someone making a kit for 454 squares or is this a universal kit?

ive pieced together a turbo and talking too dude on fullsizechevy.com right now about cnverting too mas. saying no big deal havent got too far with him yet(think he wants dinner & movie)lol. looks pretty simple-y 2-3in pipes too one,run pipping up intoo mass(dont need intercooler cause air cools in that distance) build box for inlet filter, finish exhaust out, and bingo. were not needing 20 pounds of boost, they say stock 454 runs around 8-1 comp. perfet for turbos. we only want at the most 7 pounds. so far i have put together everything for around 500. its looking pretty promising, will keep everyone updated.
