DO you have a remote start or alarm on it? That sounds to me like factory alarm problem. I know if you do not have the bypass installed the truck will crank but will not start. Also they are notorious for fuel pump problems, are you sure the fuel pump is working? It will work fine one day then the next time it will not start.

Have you messed around with wiring in the steering column or under the dash. There is a very small yellow wire that if disconnected or cut accidentily the truck will not start no matter what you do. Could also be the ignition switch because that is where the key in sensor and the yellow wire goes. Does your buzzer work with the key in and door open?

More info please

fuel pumps are a big prob with gm trucks.
you hear the high pitch whine from the fuel pump i guess....
pull a plug to see if it is wet w/ gas.
if its dry, pump psi has dropped
off below injectors threshold.
I am told to keep 1/4 tank of gas in GM trucks ...
fuel pumps use gasoline as coolant

Here's what I do whenever I am experiencing a problem...

I first confirm that the truck (Taurus) won't start at all.

Then, I reach into my back pocket, grab my wallet and get out my AAA card, and have them tow me to the shop.

I have a short conversation with the service writer.

Then I come back in a few hours/days and reach back into my back pocket, grab my wallet, and get out my Visa card.

Then, I go back out to the truck (Taurus), and start her up, and drive away.

Works like a champ, every time.

Yeah, put a fuel pressure guage on it. There should be a port on the fuel rail. Ever had problems with your body control module? Thats what it sounds like to me.

wrong size tires for the rims always cause my stuff to not want to start. The overlap of tire and rim that comes from mounting the half size wheels on regular tires causes the injectors to pulse poorly.
