I have mostly snap on but I've been wondering lately if I'm throwing money away because of how expensive they are. Just curious.

Craftsman and the el-cheapo from the parts stores, so you can just throw them away when you break them.

OOh I was thinking of buying a plasma cutter from him. Safe to say you don't recommend it?

ive got an older(3-4 years) big bluepoint... its a 50 amp... works great when it works.... but i have had to replace 2 torch heads(shouldnt ever have to replace these), and countless numbers of the swril rings.....(should last 6-9 months or more depending on use)..... and a cooling motor

i and im pretty sure i gotta relace the head again this time cause its doin the same stupid shit.

o and minus the fact i gotta wait 2 weeks most of the time for parts for the damn thing.... i finally got him to carry tips on the truck.

you cant get and equivalant miller for cheaper and better quality IMO... and if i can get them to take this SOB back and give me any reasonable amount of credit back im gonna go buy amiller.

We had one of the Bluepoint 50amp plasmas and we replaced the whole torch with one from a Miller and never had any problems out of it after that as long as you kept the water out of the air supply.

We now have a Thermal Dynamics and it is the shiznit...We call it SHAFT around the shop because it can kick any metals ass... It will sever nearly 1" thick steel without even blinking.

We also just picked up a digital Millermatic 251 and I haven't got to use it yet.

Sockets, wrenches and what not are all Craftsman, all my "specailty" type tools like my body hammers and dollys, stud gun and what not are either Snap-on or Mac or Matco. I had a BluePoint plasma cutter and that thing sucked major donkey dick! I kept it for like 3 weeks and took it back to my Snap-on guy, and he's cool has hell so he was like "don't worry, I'll get ya takin' care of" came back a week later with the freakin' badass Hypertherm I've had ever since, twice the price of that BluePoint, at no additional charge.....

Bdydrped...I think it was a Miller 65 torch and it was around 289 for everything.
