Ok guys heres my question. I'm running 24x12 rockstars on the back of my truck, and 22x10 up front there like 450 apiece plus tax. So I'm always worried about curb checking them, I havent seen or heard of anyone rhino lining wheels there already heavy painted or powder coated when you get them, but i was thinking just have the front coated right up too the edge of the wheel . My question is do yall think they could be balanced right, and would it stay on there thanks.

I'm not getting why you wouldn't just want to use a hi-temp microfinish paint like what is on them? You can actually get it from SEM in a aerosol I think. I saw something on Summitracing.com too, I think it was VHT.

Imo the bedliner would complecate the balancing a lot, plus if you did curb check them it would still nick the liner if not peal it off. You can touch up paint a lot easier than bedliner

Wouldnt the centrifical force of the wheels spinning make the rhino lining peel off?Bed liner and like coatings dont hold up well once the littlest part starts to lift. Also, your driving a wide ass truck, how are you going to curb rash the fronts with out stuffing the rears into a curb or what have you. If you want to protect the fronts from rash, drive carefully or go OG and rock some esse style curb feelers,(not that I would but just throwin it out there).

This is my first dually and it didnt take very long to learn how to drive it. It gets better. hahahaha. Get some koko couture lip thingys. At least you will hit that and not the actual wheel plus they would look cool.

Well not my first dually my 06 dodge is on here also lol but its huge.My thoughts on the rhino liner is that unlike the cheap stuff, they say its pretty much indestructable and I planned on doing them all. Plus I think it would look cool and serve a purpose thanks for the thoughts, but still undecided .

curb feelers.....

but really........... i think the bedliner would affect the balance of the wheels. it would be heavier and thicker than paint .
you wont know until you get out on the interstate and the wheels start bobbling up and down ....

No matter they claim it's "indestructible" it will come right off when you curb it, you can bet on that.

And look like ass too. Sorry...

We have put the bedliner on several offroad wheels and it seems to hold up well. The only problem I have seen is when the material builds up on the lips of the wheels, it gets peeled back when mounting the tires. Indestructible is a sales gimmick, I had one customer roll his hybrid in a rock bed and every wheel we lined had to be touched up.

I dont think that it would effect the balancing that much as long as the material is sprayed evenly and thin.

Well I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings so then it's a win across the board...that is, if you understand my point that bedlined wheels on your truck are probably going to look terrible, and not achieve the "indestructible" claim that the bedliner makers are making, with you ending up with ugly torn up sections of bedliner on your wheels where they got curbed. My suggestion would be...don't curb your wheels.

Ok we will call it a no go on the rhino liner. It was just a thought, thank you everyone for the thoughts and what not,it's good to hear advice before you run out and just do something stupid. I will however take your advice Richard on the "dont curb your wheels" but I do think thats like trying not to knock up your girlfriend, If you use it then it's gonna happen eventually.
