So I'm thinking of picking up another mazda truck for a daily and want to make it a dually (yeah yeah I know its stupid). Well of course its 6x5.5 and the only wheels I've been able to find are 6x6.5 and of course 8 lug. Is there any help you guys can give on what I can do. Size isn't a major concern. In not trying to throw 22.5s on it. I'd be happy with some 16" ultras. From what I can find I'm gonna have to get some 6 to 8 adapters and spacers whether made or bought. I've got a machine shop here in town that did my 5lug swap so if they have to be made then I got the resources. What you guys think?

Best option would be to adapt your suspension to the 8 lug hubs. I have had several customers do this to Nissan and Chevy mini trucks.

Would you be able to drill out a set of wheels to the mazda pattern? You could then have the 8 lugs filled and polished. I would imagine you would still be able to see the old holes if looking up close though. Or is the center hole to big to do this and have enough meat left to drill the new pattern.

Btw, I have a set of 19's that would look badass on there.

Hub bore is too big to drill the 6x5.5 pattern in. Chevy hub bores range from 4.56-4.887" in diameter. No room at all for a 7/8" lug hole on each side of that.

To change 6 to 8 you gotta use one of those crazy thick two piece adapters, about $150 a pair. Can't use a regular adapter because the lugs would overlap positions.

Ezaccessory.com has them. I've bought a few sets of adapters/spacers (not the two-piece, but others) from them and they seem OK. I'm not a huge fan of adapters but I do believe that quality bolt-on spacers and bolt-on adapters are fine, gotta tell you though the two-piece you'd use for a 6 to 8 kinda worry me. That's a lot of places for fasteners to get loose.
