i dont mean cheap as in half ass. just dont want to pour thousands of dollars in this to get the same affect as a more costly and time consuming mod.. i been readin and it looked les exspensive way to go.. it is a obsolite way of building but at one point it was used just wanting the pros n cons and if i culd buy the parts cheap 2nd hand or new until i decide if i want or can afford a new 4 link bag setup .. if its honestly a unsafe set up then lmk ive looked at air ride tec and they only drop as low as my truck is staticly unless i buy this major kit i looked at airbag it and dont know what to buy so im lost here

Everything you will read about link setups is all based on opinion, I have a buddy who has built a few trucks of his with two links. Personally I am not a big fan of a two link mostly because it is hard to control the side to side movement of the axle, smaller trucks not so much worries. Which is what the point of the 4 link is two parallel bars to the frame and two triangulated bars to keep it center and from the axle twisting.

My best suggestion is if you are hard up to run the two link consider throwing a pan hard bar in there or a watts link to keep those tires off of you fenders.

you can get away with a 2 link if you make the link bars really long, and use a panhard bar.

2 links are good if you like to set your truck at a certain height and leave it all the time. like mine is going to be.... a couple inches off the ground. :)

i am going to move my stock front leaf hangers forward on my 77. i bought some 3 inch steel end links (with poly bushings) from suicidedoors. i welded them to some 2x3 .25inch steel tubes..i think my link bars are 43 inches long...lol
