hey 58 in the industrial construction world each employer will weld test you and certifie you most outfits will have you weld a cupon in the shop and have it xrayed then you'll have to have your first or your first two field weld xrayed then depending on the contract they'll x ray welds here and there as long as your weld pass visual inspections
