I found an 84 crew, at a great price. TIME TO DROP IT!
I want to do a 6-8 drop. I have seen pics of trucks without inner fenders and blower motors. will I have to do this on this truck. for now it will have stock size tires.

The way I understand it, the truck came from AZ. It has a clean body other than damage to the LR fender. I have a donor for that. Plans for the truck, drop, 4L80E trans, billit grill, and about 10 gallons of black paint. At some point I will go with some rims.

I just want to make sure I dont have to remove the front inner fenders to drop the truck. I am wanting the western 6 front and 8.5 rear drop.

It all depends on the size wheel/tire combo you are going to run if you will need to relocate any of the fender wells.

Well, the 84 turned into an 88 silverado, and I drove it home. I was sort of surprised at how well this beast rode, no bad rattles, a little play in the front end, and for some reason, a lot of smoke from the tires at every stop sign. Body is in great shape, just too much paint on it, and will very soon be riding much closer to the ground. Front seat needs redone, inner door panel on drivers side, and a little cleaning. Jasper 454 and 400 sounds good and shifts firm. All this for $2600. Did I do good?

That smoke from the tires is probably caused by a loose nut between the seat and the steering wheel. Might wanna check that!

Richard
Please be sure to check out my truck shop projects and remember: if I made it look easy,
it's only because you weren't here to see me kicking parts, cussing, and throwing tools.
