I'm trying for a certain 'look' as I work through some upgrades on my 89 CC. I would really like to utilize some 17" wheels (budget friendly) & like the look of the later model Dodge dually wheels because they remind me of old school slots.

I'm trying for a 'muscle-truck' theme so the 'slots' look would work well. What would I need to do to make it happen?

Thanks in advance.... Scot.

Wheels will bolt on the 89 (lug pattern is the same), however the hub bore is bigger on the Dodge wheels so you may want to have some hub centric rings made for them to ensure a smooth ride and tight fitment.

Are the hub centric adapters readily available or something I'll have to have custom made?

I have a guy @ work that swapped some 22.5" wheels onto his Ram. He said I can have the steel 17's for free (he already sold the tires). So..... the price is right & the look is right pending the adapter rings aren't significant.

Probably will have to have them made being that the swap you are doing is something that is not done everyday. They can be made from aluminum or a hard neoprene of some type.

Thanks for your help.

I can prob have some machined from billet aluminum. Based on your experience, can you recommend a minimum thickness I should utilize?

I usually try to make them just thick enough to support both of the wheels. Measure the thickness of the Dodge wheels and have the fronts made to one thickness and the rears made double.

I found my hubcentric adapters. I think I'll order some vs. the time, effort, & materials it will take to try & make them.

Not sure how this will play out but I shouldn't have too much into this set-up & I don't think anyone will be rolling up beside me w/something similar.
