I have an 07 new body style Chevy 2500HD with the duramax. I believe it is the LMM. I have been considering some upgrades but don't even know where to begin. Right now it is totally stock but would like to at least start out with a tuner. I tow big trailers with it 50% or more of the time, and another good portion has a big v plow and sand spreader on it. I am looking to improve mileage while gaining a bit of power, not that it needs it though.

Any experience with certain brands? Good or bad? There are so many options and brands.

Is it worth it to just do a tuner or should I do intake, exhaust and the whole package? I don't really have that much to spend so I was hoping to start with the tuner first.

Any advice would be appreciated,

Krewz

I have a 07 Classic Silverado and I started with a Superchips tuner, mainly for the ability to adjust for the larger tires. I have been happy with their product you just have to make sure that you keep you tuner/software up to date, I didn't update mine when i got it and the truck went into limp mods (the new update fixed the problem.

If I were to buy another tuner/tuning software, I would buy EFI Live. You can do just about anything you can think of with it. It is a bit more expensive but it seems that it would be worth the money.

Other than tuners, I went for exhaust (muffler and cat delete on factory exhaust). The factory intakes flow enough for what i need, so I kept it and use factory Donaldson filters.

Hope this helps you in your decision
