Anyone on here do a Cummins swap and a bodydrop? Curious what hood clearance issues I'm going to run into on my 92

How about hood clearance on a non bodydropped Cummins swap? =)

I'm dropping a 12 valve into my 03 and it will fit not bodydropped for sure, but not sure how much extra room. Not sure how the 03 engine compartment compares to yours.

I know on my uncles square we did unbodied there is one inch of hood clearance, 3/4 inch off firewall , and 3 inches of radiator clearance

I was curious about the same thing, I'm going to be doing a Cummins swap in a 76 this winter. Haven't seen anyone body drop one with the swap. I didn't want to jack your thread though since it's a different bodystyle.

Thanks for that info. How much clearance was there between the bottom of the oil pan and the bottom of engine crossmember with these measurements? I have a feeling I'll be redoing an oil pan to try to get it all in there.

Check out my Square Body Cummins swap. There is plenty of hood clearence but not very much firewall,tranny tunnel clearence.

ive got a box style dually and theres no way i could ever stuff a cummins in it with it bodied....my truck is Z'd 2 inches and stock floored 4 inches...my LS motor wont even clear hood and it not near as big as a Cummins
