Ok so I now have a 5.3L from an 01 gmc that is gonna be goin in my 83 chevy dually. I got the wiring harness converted to a 4 wire hookup this weekend, now all I have to do is wire a constant 12v , switched ignition, starter wire, and ground, oh and install the motor

That is where I'm at now wiring harness is rewired, temporarily routed, and motor is running, now I have to wait for my pcm to get back from the programmer so I can see where I'm going to mount everything so I can reroute the harness accordingly and then tape it all up and install wire cover then install motor and drive the hell out of it. Oh on a side note anybody have electric comps they wanna trade for an engine driven

I though about doing this with my '93 dually. My '99 silverado just got totaled but all the drive train is good. So maybe I will down the road.

wait explain to me what you done about wiring....and what kinda engine driven you got...what motor does it fit?

It is a york, idk what model ill have to look for a sbc. And I routed aroung the stock underhood fuse block and made it a 4 wire hookup. Also removed the pins in the harness for the ac, rear o2s, egr, transmission, and stock oil pressure sender

Its FOR a sbc should of put a comma in there lol
