Most people run a 265/35/22 with a 225/75/16 inner. Both of which are 29.3" in diameter.

So would a 31.7" tall tire gonna be to much?

It usually is on a bagged truck. Just about anything over 30" will rub the tops of the fenders.

Darn it! I was really hoping to run the nitto dune grapplers on this truck as well, the flame design would have tied in to it well!

Hey this is great info for a newb like me. I was wondering what I was going to go with.

If all goes as planned, I will be picking up a 2000 Silverado Dually pretty soon. I'm looking to switch the wheels. Are 265/40s too tall? Right now the truck is riding on a set of brand new 265/40/22 Toyo Proxies. The truck is not bagged. Will the added height give me problems if I go with Semi wheels? Thanks all.

If you are going to leave it at stock height the 40s will be fine. You can lower that truck 3/4 with the 40s but it is pushing the limit on rubbing the rear fenders.
