over heated 89 chevy with 454?

what are the chances the head is cracked or blown head gasket and not just blown coolant hose? the lower radiator hose broke but i dont know if thats why it overheated.

it could be a couple of thing... did you drive it while it was overheated or get is shut down quick?? Always wanna check the hoses first then i would check the thermastat to make sure it didnt stick shut.

When mine was overheating it was just the radiator cap not holding pressure.
