worked at a GM dealership from age 13 to 27 in oilfield/ farming community! I have seen many dead 6.5 diesels! 1994 being the worst!
Plus Bruce Springsteen wrote a song about it!

What do you guys think of the 6.5? I have a chance to get a 97. I have heard some bad stuff about them and some good stuff as well. I don't really plan to be pulling anything crazy heavy, and it will be my daily... So what do ya'll think?

Thats what mine is jeremy. I like it. You have to understand that its not a powerstroke or cummins tho. It does what i want it to do. And the 97 is a good year, 97 up generally is the best cause alot of the bugs were worked out by then.

How many miles did your 6.5 have on it when you bought it?
