We have a shop truck here at work, it is a 93 ford f150. It seems that the shift if getting sloppy, the shifter not the trans. We shift it a lot for as little distance as it goes. A typical outing would be park-reverse-drive-reverse-drive-reverse-park-reverse-drive-park. And that would only be going about maybe a few hundred feet and maybe a few minutes, and that happens several times a day.

I guess I was wondering if there are bushings in the shift linkage and stuff that can be replaced and how big of a job is this?
